In our cattery you can purchase a purebred Maine Coon kitten born through the careful pairing of titled breeding cats from our cattery.
We fully guarantee the purity of our breeding line.
You can choose a loving family pet who will delight you and your household, or pick a future star who will shine at shows and later give you her own kittens.
Regardless of your purpose (pet or breeding), you take home a fully vaccinated kitten that is litter- and scratching-post trained, and you receive:
- a purchase contract for the kitten;
- a pedigree certificate;
- an international-format passport.
We hesitated for a very long time, then searched for a very long time, and at last she appeared — our first and still only Maine Coon female, UA*Sky Coon Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds — simply Lucy at home.
The parents of our girl came from the professional Russian cattery “Don COON*RU,” and her grandparents came from well-known German catteries.
Lucy was born on 13 April 2012. She has already attended several shows and earned excellent expert evaluations. Lucy has now closed the title of “Champion of Ukraine” and opened the title of “International Champion.”
Her weight at one year was 6 kg. Because Maine Coons grow until two years of age, we hope her size will increase further.
According to tests from an Australian laboratory, our Lucy does not carry the HCM mutation.
In our cattery you can purchase a Maine Coon kitten that will closely meet the breed standard (see the “Kittens for Sale” section).
Our kittens leave for their new homes no earlier than 12 weeks of age, fully vaccinated for their age, socialized, and trained to use the litter box and scratching post.
By the time the kitten leaves the cattery, it has:
- A passport with vaccination marks.
- A pedigree or birth certificate.
- Upon prior agreement, the kitten can be microchipped.
We can deliver a young Maine Coon to any city in Ukraine.
You can find feeding and care recommendations for Maine Coons in the “CARE” section.
Maine Coon description:
Maine Coons are semi-long-haired cats considered an indigenous breed — created not by human selection, but by nature itself.
Maine Coon photos:
(All the photos on this site show only my own cats or graduates of my cattery, as well as cats belonging to friendly catteries that have participated in our breeding program.)
The ancestors of Maine Coons lived in the Northeastern United States. Farmers in the state of Maine first recognized and valued them as hunters of rats and mice. The breed received its name — “Maine raccoon” — because of its resemblance to a raccoon: the coat color (originally only black tabby was recognized), powerful robust build, and huge, well-furred tail. Because Maine is located in the cold North-East near Canada, the harsh climate created tough living conditions for animals, including cats.
That is how Maine Coons arose — with thick long fur, great endurance, and considerable size. The Maine Coon is regarded as the largest domestic cat in the world. Average weight: males 8–12 kg, females around 5 kg.
Character — despite their formidable appearance, Maine Coons are very friendly and extremely affectionate. They also have high intelligence.
The Maine Coon breed:
Maine Coons are large cats. Their distinguishing feature is precisely their size. Males should be big (size is their hallmark). They do not have to be as heavy as British Shorthairs, but they must be large. Females are smaller than males.
Body: rectangular with a fairly heavy bone structure (a light frame is not welcomed). The body is long and stretched. The greatest recorded length of a Maine Coon is 1.23 m. Adult weight can reach 15 kg, but usually ranges around 10 kg. They stand on strong legs, are sturdy and muscular, with large round paws. Tufts of fur between the paw pads helped Coons stay warm in cold winters. The tail is very long, at least reaching the shoulder blades, and covered with flowing fur, serving as extra protection against the cold.
Head: large and heavy; straight, clean lines give the head a square shape (“boxy”). High cheekbones, nose not overly long.
Ears: the ears make these cats resemble lynxes. They are long, wide at the base, pointed, set high and vertical with minimal distance between the bases. Tufts of fur grow inside, and the tips finish with rich lynx brushes.
Eyes: slightly slanted, round, and not small; eye color can be very diverse.
Coat: Maine Coons are semi-long-haired cats. The fur is dense and water-repellent, with a coarser guard hair and a thick soft undercoat. The fur length is shorter at the neck and shoulders and gradually lengthens along the back, sides, and belly. The tail is very well furred. Maine Coons do not require special coat care.
Colors: Maine Coon colors are very diverse: black, red, and less commonly white. Colors that are not accepted in the breed include lilac, fawn, chocolate, and point colors. The black marble Maine Coon has long been a favorite.
And finally — Maine Coons are extremely friendly. They never show aggression toward other animals or toward children.
